23/03/2004 07:43:04   Richard   As Chris Partington has wound his company up, you now have to deal through Highgate or the Saab Restoration company, this is due to insurance reasons.
The price has increased a bit, but still offers great value for money for a box that will be built right.

23/03/2004 10:45:02   Senor Burt   How much we talking?
23/03/2004 12:24:19   Richard   450 INCLUDING BITS.
23/03/2004 14:49:02   Richard   OK 520 INCLUDING VAT. I WOULD LIKE TO CORRECT THE PREVIOUS AND SAY ITS NOT THAT CHEAP, AS FROM CHRIS LAST YEAR IT WAS 350.
WHERE IS MY SKODA RALLY CAR, THE SAAB IS GOING TO BE TOO EXPENSIVE TO RALLY AS THE BOX NEEDS RESHIMMING AFTER 3 EVENTS. THE SKODA USES A STD BOX WHICH IS WELL UP TO THE JOB WITH BETTER RATIOS AND IT COMES OUT OF THE BACK A LA IMP. STD 8 PORT HEAD, STD SPRINGS, STD BRAKES, BETTER BALANCE THAN THE V4, RELIABLE, HOW DID ANYONE FIND THIS CAR FUNNY. jUST A BIT HEAVY FOR THE ENGINE SIZE, BUT WITH 130BHP POSSIBLE IT SHOULD BE NOT THAT FAR BEHIND MY SAAB. STILL LOVE THE SAAB THOUGH, SO I WILL USE IT FOR 3-4 FOREST EVENTS A YEAR.

29/03/2004 12:31:13   Richard   I had the beast round the farm at the weekend, back end out full power. You just Swedish flick it in to the corner, dissengage the clutch which slings the tail out and then bring the clutch back in with plenty of power and opposite lock. Just how you drive a 911, ace! Ok I will get back to Saab's now.
01/04/2004 23:22:28   David   Wow! that's not cheap (gearbox refurb I'm talking about). Good job I was given a low-mileage one the other day (car had been written off due to back-end damage, engine and g/box fine) that was sitting in this guy's garage for a few years, full of clean-looking oil ....
