I have just rebuilt my engine which included new clutch /slave/master cylinders .
When I depress the clutch fully I can feel the release arm hit the pressure plate
I have removed the engine and can see the top end of the release bearing arm has been hitting part of the pressure plate
Could someone advise
I am located in Australia and appreciate the previous messages on this forum

There is a dimension in the service books from flywheel face to the pressure plate release bearing face (this is from memory, so double check that it is from these areas). You may need to put washers between the clutch pressure plate and flywheel to alter the initial position of the clutch release bearing face on the pressure plate.|

Did try to space the clutch cylinder off the bracket but made it worse.
the new clutch plate is quite a lot thicker then the old one and think I need to make some shins between the pressure plate and the fly wheel
Any idea of the dimension (dont have much technical info)on the V4
