Nick Ayliffe (UK) 1975 In Nick's word's....
The car was originally bought by my godmother back in February 1975 and spent all its life in Jersey. It was garaged and due to the island's speed limits would never have been driven over 40mph! I have fond memories of this car from my childhood and asked her if she ever wanted to sell it to give me first refusal. About 4 years ago I was in need of a car and made the call to her in Jersey. She ended up giving it to me as she knew I would look after it. It had only done 52,000 miles when I got it and the tacho now reads just over 62,000. I have just had installed a recon gearbox, Highgate Diaphram cluth, lightened flywheel, twin choke Solex carb, double barrel inlet manifold and a new stainless steel exhaust system. It is booked for a rolling road session to have the whole lot set-up correctly but even now she is alot more fun to drive than standard. Everything else is original with no rust on floor, chassis etc with only slight blistering in a couple of places on the bottom of the doors.
