T O P I C R E V I E W | MARK DRANSFIELD | Posted - 01 Aug 2016 : 10:13:10 Hi All, I used to own a nice maroon 96 V4 (TOU 787M) 20 years ago, which I've always regretted parting with. Over the years I've come to realise the inevitable: I need a 96 again! I'm in no rush, and so am on the look out for a nice one. I'm not looking to take on a restoration project, and would describe what I'm looking for as 'sub concours'. I'm thinking of a chrome bumpered 96, in a nice colour, with nice paint and interior, a 100% reliable engine, recon (or at least silent) gearbox. It doesn't have to be concours perfect, but one that's been lovingly looked after, and the owner wants it to go to a good home. I will be planning to keep it in a garage, and use it in good weather for normal driving about in the Kent countryside, and will be maintained to keep it in the same or improved condition. It may sound like I'm asking a lot, but you might just come across a car out there which fits the bill. If so, please let me know! Mark 08 Saab 9-3 Convertible (owned from new) 57 Austin Metropolitan (half its life)
