T O P I C R E V I E W | Jon | Posted - 04 Jun 2012 : 18:30:53 Hi,
Back in 1999 when I built my souped up V4 engine, I was told to use genuine SAAB cylinder head gaskets as they are the only ones that can handle the high compression that I have (10.25:1).
Well, this weekend after 30000 miles of joyous thrashing around the engine has started to puff water vapor out from the exhaust and generally drink coolant.
So, I guess it's time to change the head gaskets. Does anyone know if SAAB still supplies head gaskets or would these do? http://seekpart24.com/saab/96-65/1-5-v4-6573/cylinder-head-gasket-100374 I'm definitely not going to buy the eBay jobs, what about the gaskets from Scandix?
Thanks :-)

Everything I've had of them has done "what it said on the tin", and they rally a V4, so they ought to know what they are talking about!

Had heart failure when I saw the price of the inlet manifold gasket until I realised the price was for 5 items. It would be good to see the EBAY items in the flesh to compare them to Hall Gaskets who made them during the 60s-90s.
