Hi All,
just taken delivery of Sonett III to add to collection.
See hastily converted garage (...if my image posting has worked)

I imported from a dealer in Holland.
The dealer imported it from USA and it was never registered in Holland.

DVLA says I need a European Certificate of Conformity or I have to take car for an IVA inspection.

Question is - can I get hold of a C of C? Already sent question to SOC Sonett registrar.

Thanks Iain

Great to see another Sonett in the UK! ! I had no problem registering mine, just got a letter from SOC confirming it's date of manufacture with the chassis number. Hope to see it at a meet sometime.

I don't know "VeTe" personally, but he seems a new kid on the block who in a very short time has become the no. 1 in Sonett sales in NL.

That's a great link. Thanks Melle.
I bought the car from Vincent Theelen http://veteclassiccars.com/
Website never seems up to date but a very nice genuine guy.
He currently has a nice Sonett 2 but wants Euro 20,000.

Nice! Who in NL did you buy it from?

CoCs for <'97 car don't exist, and as far as I know >10 year old vehicles are exempt from type approval anyway. Give the DVLA a bell, although their forms are not the clearest they're really helpful on the phone. Perhaps this helps as well: http://forum.retro-rides.org/thread/198659/register-imported-car
