Recently recommissioned our 95 V4 after 18 months hibernation. Before the layup, the speedo was occasionally sticky and the needle jerked. Now, the needle picks up & welds itself against the far stop when the car is moved at all. This remains like this for 20 minutes or more until the whole car has warmed up properly. The odometer works perfectly during this time, so it's not the cable. Is it just old sticky grease or dirt in the speedo head? Is there anything I can do without taking the unit out of the car?
