Following http://www.saabsunited.com/2010/07/saab-o-the-week-x-2.html on saabsunited.com, I thought it would be nice to arrange a little meeting with some folk admiring vintage and contemporary classic Saabs.

You're kindly invited on the parking of the Grampian Transport Museum in Alford (http://www.gtm.org.uk/), on Sunday 18 July from 2pm. The museum offers a lot to see for the whole family, a tearoom and nice big parking space, hopefully full of Saabs. Apart from that, Alford's surroundings are beautiful for a little Sunday afternoon tour.

Would love to meet some of you the 18th!

Melle

I'll be there if it fits my schedule! I live in Amsterdam most of the time, so not sure if I'm in Aberdeen then. Would be nice to meet some of the Scottish V4's and their owners!

Sounds good to me; I do have some things on in September [this doesn't necessarily rule that month out for me; it would just depend on when] but nothing planned otherwise.
You do realise that mine is a younger model, [see my 16th July post above], but that's not to say that I don't enjoy looking at and admiring the earlier Saabs.

I'll keep a lookout for further info as time goes on.

Mine is a modern Saab but back in March I and the Mrs met up with a group of Saab officianados at the Saab Owner's Club [GB] "Scottish Weekend".

Christopher, son of the event organisers, was rightly proud of the 96 V4 which he and his father had been restoring and I jumped at the chance to sit behind the wheel of a part of Saab's heritage.

It's great that you folks take an interest in and continue to run these earlier models. It would be great to see some examples at Alford on the 18th. Indeed anyone who owns or has an interest in the marque will be welcome.

All Saab folk I've been in contact with to date are a friendly bunch so it would be grand if you could come along and swell the ranks.

There's a new Saab initiative in Aberdeen, please take a look at http://saababerdeen.co.uk/ to find out more.

Hope to see some RHD V4's next Sunday, but all Saabs and Saab-admirers are welcome.

It's still a bit quiet here, is that due to holidays, location or ????? Would be nice to meet some of you, with or without a V4!

Ron, first: welcome to the forum!

To keep things clear, I'll compile a list in http://www.uksaabs.co.uk/UKS/viewtopic.php?uid=6047&f=10&t=61463&start=0 on the UKS-forum.

I'll just do that again with better spelling and phrasing!

I'll see you there on the 18th. [My wife is also coming along].

Melle, I'm new to the forum so I'm just wondering if it's possible to create a list to which those who are willing to attend can add thier names?

Ron.
