Managed to convert from the K&N filter back to the standard air filter to get the noise level down( it works!!!!).Made two identical plates ,cut out the bottom of the air box and sandwiched it with the plates then bolted it to the carb.

Andy, I see you have the same stereo , how have you got yours wired up( do you use any sort of added electrical bits),what aerial do you use and what sort of reception do you get, mine seems to work perfectly on the drive but as soon as I get off our estate it goes off!!

Chris

Sorry Chris, can't help - I couldn't decide where to mount an aerial at the time, so I didn't try.

To me it is only a CD player.

Can't help thinking a carbon-wrapped version of these would look cool, but maybe I've spent too much time looking at the Neo's 96 build!?

Great work as always though Chris - keep it up!

For me, the grain is too pronounced/coarse. If considering wood I think I'd prefer something plain and simple as in the Dolomites and Stags. JMO and not stirring the pot. The door cappings look as if they might be plainer after finishing.

Chrish showed me the dash and the door caps at Swedish day and they are things of beauty..looking forward to seeing them installed.

I am sure it will look great.

Sadly I have never been much good with the wooden stuff - I can fabricate all the bits ok

but try as I might they always catch fire when I weld them together.

Am I using the wrong wire?
