T O P I C R E V I E W | JWalshe | Posted - 06 Jul 2017 : 20:12:27 Hello all,
The time has arrived to begin reconstruction of my 96 and there are a few bits I'll be needing - including carpet. Sadly, the old ones were absent. Anyone know where I can get some in reasonable condition? Or indeed new ones!
Huge thanks in advance,

If you use the newer style carpet there is a useless floppy 'bulge' that can get in the way of the pedals (on LHD cars at least). I have a newer one in my '70 96 that I modified by removing the stitching from the bulge so it folds flat. I think all the rear sections are identical in shape.

I had a complete carpet set made by Coverdale, http://www.carcarpets.co.uk/.
Very nice carpets. though not cheap. You'd have to send them a template to work from, since if I remember correctly, the SAAB 96, is not one of their stock patterns.
Regards
Andy
