Hi All,
I have been trying to find a paint supplier who can supply cellulose mixed to match the particular car I'm working with. The current place I use mix from RAL paint swatches which isn't the most accurate method.
So, I found another local place and received this really helpful reply:

Hi,
We can supply celly, unfortunately its classed as an industrial paint which means there isn’t that much of a selection in car colours, its mainly for international colours systems like British standards Pantone and Ral colours.
We have got a couple of spectrometers one for 2k paints and another for water base paints so the matching would be no problem but the type Paint may well be.

Thanks for your enquiry.

Kind regards

So, it seems there is the same problem with celly. Has any one had any experience of water based paints? I'm not interested in two pack as I live in an extremely closely built up area.
Thoughts appreciated!
Cheers
Gareth

Have you tried these guys - I miss cellulose, one of my biggest regrets was not doing my resto in cellulose and going over to 2K, not the same...

Hi Gareth, you don’t say where’s you are but it might be worth trying a few suppliers. Fishers in Lincoln managed to mix topaz yellow for us in cellulose. It was only a sample as we didn’t like it when we saw it so are looking at other options. We have to do it soon so I’ll add to the post when we make progress.
