| 4 L A T E S T R E P L I E S (Newest First) | Derek | Posted - 19 Jul 2011 : 00:08:56 Extra - I mentioned that I'd seen it at Enfield but if the exif data on the pic is to be believed it was the previous year 25.5.02 and there was someone with the car. For interest I've also posted the pic of the black one. Does anyone recognise it? Not on John's list on the other forum.
| Derek | Posted - 18 Jul 2011 : 23:36:44 Interesting! The pics below were taken on 10-8-03 at the Detling Transport fair. I'd seen the car earlier that year in the For Sale area at the Enfield Pageant alongside a black V4, also for sale. No details with the car then or anyone with it. I talked a bit with "Dave" at Detling and he said he was having problems with intermitant lights and I suggested he try rolling the fuses. I left him to it. Very nice car but I was surprised to see that the rear number plate was suck to the boot lid with mastic. Later on as I was walking back to the car park with the some of the exhibitors also leaving, I heard the car popping along behind me. I stopped to watch it go past and as it did so I leaned over and picked up the fuse box cover which was tucked behind the wiper arm and handed it to him through the window saying "you might be needing this". Never saw it again but the price, as you can see, was rather tempting. I'm pretty sure he said that Chris Partington had done the gearbox. By the dates this may even have been its last trip out before going into the proverbial barn.
"Dave", the owner, can be seen through the back window.
