Can anyone please tell me the correct way to remove the window glass from the doors of my 1972 v4. Any advice appreciated. John

The manual provided by Simon is invaluable. I have even made a hard copy!
I may be being either thick or over cautious but do the hinge screws have to be removed completely thus allowing the glass complete with hinged retainer channel do be withdrawn? Both the Haynes and Saab manual refer to backing off the screws which to me means loosening. I am afraid of ending up with parts removed that are impossible to re-assemble. Always better to ask a daft question than regret it.
Hope this is clear - any help appreciated.

Hi melle /Andy
I do have a Saab v4 Service Manual covering 1967 - 1979.
When time permits I will try to produce a pdf copy - but it will be a long slow job.
Happy to provide any relevant page where required.
Peter

I'm not Simon, but I don't think there is one. relevant sections supplied to dealers as supplements perhaps? Please prove me wrong and I'm happy to upload it to my website for everyone to enjoy!

Simon

Do you have a service manual for later, (ie post 76) models?

Download the service manual from here...

http://www.vintagesaabmanuals.org/1968-73-95-and-96-v4-sonett-iii.html

Go to page 605 where it's all described perfectly.

Hope that helps,

Simon
