Hello all;
I am getting a little weeping of fuel in the cabin where the fuel line exits the fire wall. I am thinking the rubber fuel hose that connects the fuel line between the engine compartment and the cabin is either loose or in need of replacement. My local guru advises that if it needs replacing we may have to take out the engine. Is that correct? Isn't there a way to tighten or replace it without removing the engine??? Please help!

If you replace the steel pipe with copper this is malleable enough that with a bit of fiddling you can feed it through with the engine still in place. Bit of a bodge I know but saves removing the engine.

I was afraid of that. Looks like I will be removing the engine. Thanks melle.

There shouldn't be a rubber hose from the cabin into the engine bay, it's meant to be a continuous metal pipe all the way from the tank to the left hand side engine mount. Engine needs to be removed to replace it indeed.
