Hi all,

I've been given a few bits and pieces for my 96, and among them was a speedo and fuel / temp guage for a 99.

They're both circular and about the same size as the 96, but does anyone know if either would work in a 96 in the event I need a spare? There are obvious differences (layout of warning lights, plus a 130mph max speed which would be optimistic for a 96) but would they basically fit and be electrically / mechanically compatible?

I've read elsewhere here that the speedo cables are the same fit so that's a start - though doesn't mean the gear ratios are the same of course...

If no-one's done this before then chances are it's not a go-er, in which case they'll be away to ebay, unless anyone here wants them - cost of postage only (or pick up in Edinburgh)

Joe

Hi Joe,

Message received and replied to . . . . . . .thanks.

I would like to see this one sometime during my travels to Edinburgh.

Cheers

Judging by the absence of replies this isn't something anyone has done!
James - you'd be welcome to them - I'll send you a PM.

Morning Joe,

I would certainly be interested in these for my 99 if they are no use for your 96.

I am based in Aberdeen but I can arrange for pick up in Edinburgh.

Thanks
