Having just stripped down one of the front hub assemblies, I've found that the brake disc backplate was held on with two self tappers and two pop-rivets.
I am thinking that this is unlikely to be correct/original. Does anyone know what should be used?

Parts book shows 4 x Hex-head screws for each side. 1/4 UNC thread.
My first V4, 1969 deluxe had the hex-head screws but my second V4 1972 model had dome-head pozi-screws. The pozi screws seized and were troublesome to get out.

Thanks Woody.
That's something else to add to the list next time I visit Metalwork Supplies
