Hi all,

I've purchased the domain saabv4.com and I'm planning to make it a complete V4-source from which you can download technical information. Think of the nut & bolt specifications and exchange tables that used to be on Genty's site, S&R handbook, parts catalogue, shop manuals in different languages, technical articles etc. I'm also almost done with drawing all the engine gaskets and Solex carb gaskets to put on the site as .dxf, .ai en .jpg files, so everyone can have their gaskets made locally or just print templates on gasket paper for cutting out the smaller gaskets.

To complete the site I'm looking for the following:
- High res scans of a FoMoCo carb gasket set
- High res scans of the most commonly used Weber carb gasket sets
- High res scan of a genuine/ good brand inlet manifold gasket
- Saab V4 Tuning Guide PDF. As far as I know this is a different book from the S&R catalogue that I already have.

Many thanks in advance for your help. Please allow me some time to finish everything.

Thanks for all your work melle. I have bookmarked saabv4.com in anticipation. My offer of a donation towards your expenses still stands. Ian

Ta for that, but I'd rather have some extra hours in my days.

Great, do you want scans of the solex 32/32 TDID? My 96 uses that.

Thanks for the offer, I've already drawn them. Readily available in any file format, just give me a shout if you want them.

I'm not an expert at building websites (on the contrary), so I'm also looking for someone who can do the programming for the site. I need a simple CMS/ database system so I can keep it updated.

Sorry yes I did. Not heard of Wetransfer. If uploading a photo to photobucket is anything to go by, I would be better copying to CD, so I can get some form of order.
I have an old PC using XP so nothing gets done fast.

Will email you when I have got somewhere with it all.

You can send large files (up to 2GB) through www.wetransfer.com It is free and even easier than burning stuff to a cd! You just add files by clicking 'add files', enter your email address and mine and click 'transfer'. You can't send folders, only files but you can compress folders into .zip-files so you can send them as a whole. In case it doesn't work out I can email you my physical address so you can send a cd. I'll hear from you!

Still working on the website, things are going much slower than I was hoping for though (as always...)

Can you help me indicate the different types of distributors and their associated spares (from different brands) used on V4's? I have found the following so far:

Forgot to include rotors and caps, but I guess they're identical for all dizzys.

Prepare to enter a minefield. I wish you luck. I've got quite a few numbers and none of them match yours!

Add a V to the Petronix 1847 = 1847V (for vacuum)

Cross refing the Bosch numbers to the Saab ones would be useful.

There must be a limit as to what has been used/ fits.

This is a screen cast from the excel-file that circulates:

Useful as many of the parts are interchangeable, but I'm trying to make an overview per distributor type. Condensers and vac. advance units generally differ.
