I'll see if I can find a pic and email it to you. There's nothing like riding fixed, very addictive. I've owned about 100 (!) bicycles (I'm only 31) and the fixies and recumbents have always been my favourites when I did my daily (15m single trip) commute for a couple of years. I'm not really a speed addict, but these bikes make you one. Never owned a factory fix, always built bikes from the parts bin.

Never had one but have a nice pennine frame made in Bradford with horizontal drops and really steep geometry earmarked for a build, it is a bit tricky as it still has the original and very distinctive paint scheme which is really horrible, but I cannot bring myself to paint over it!

Pchristy - going back to your wing mirror, I had been looking at getting one for my car. I kept an eye on ebay for a while and a couple came up in the last 6 months I suppose. One (in my opinion not as good a condition as yours) went for £33, and another in probably as good a condition as yours went for only £13.

Well, I'm open to offers!

Dr Brian hasn't responded, and I'm about to depart towards the continent. I'm pretty busy until September, so if nobody has expressed an interest by then, I'll probably e-bay it!

But I'll put it up on the forum here first!

Re door mirrors - Nick Utteridge (Bridport, Dorset) has some for sale at around £25 each - in good condition from what I saw of them at the National. I don't have his contact details but he advertises Saab bits on ebay and should be trackable via that. I spoke with John at Saab Sanctuary yesterday (bought some seals and little plastic cups for my mirrors) and understood that he hasn't got any in stock.
