Been a horrible winter which has not encouraged me to do anything out doors so Troll is still to be fettled for a MOT. Fire it up weekly to listen to the Webers.
When the MOT has been done, it will need a strip down for an external respray.

Replaced the '71 power servo which had failed for a '72 model alternative which matches the master cylinder. Still to bleed the brakes after inspection of the hubs/discs.
Mot will be delayed as I now need to repair the front floor which has corroded driver's side around the drain plug. All this due to leaking windscreen seal.

Arbomast windscreen sealing compound is the stuff to use on classics (non cement type) and prevents water sitting behind your window rubber rotting everything away.

I shall have to try that. Can't remember what I used before but it obviously didn't work. The screen will be coming out for the respray any way. Replacing the rubber would be nice.

Tester - Have decided to upgrade Photobucket to avoid losing all my photos uploaded to posts. Had a rough time since last posting here in my project.
The Cancer has been kicked into touch and ongoing treatment seems to be working.
Pic below shows addition last year of canted venturi to the Webers which will enable installation of barrel air filter boxes to the Troll.
Slowly getting back into to doing jobs so hopefully more progress to come. The iphone pic seems very big. Such a long time since I have added a photo.

good to hear you're on the mend Woody - I would imagine the iPhone pics haven't sized down to the 960pxl (IIRC) that the forum needs, but it is nice to see your engine set up in glorious widescreen!!

reading back over this, I'm like you - I'm replacing the 71 (large cap) BMC/servo with a later one, just waiting for a new seal kit from John Saab

I thought you had gone quiet - really glad to see you back and on the mend!

Always envious of your twin webers looking great.

Good to see you back again Woody.

I love this car. I could look at this engine bay all day long.

Wish I could hear it fired up

Cheers

Hi Woody,
Glad to hear you are having a better time of it.
Your car and thread were inspirational when I was doing all the welding to get my 96 back on the road - I shall have a read through from the start again!
Cheers
Gareth

Provocative question. When did you last run the car at least around the block Woody? A quick rev up in the garage doesn't count.
Some sort of update would probably be entertaining I think.
