| Recently got it back from the powder coaters - rather than a silver finish, they tried out a semi-chrome finish - it looks a bit like polished aluminium . . .
the sunroof still opens
(but a bit pointless if its full of cases etc.)

| Thanks John - didn't cost too much either . . . to have the arms, clamps and rack shot-blasted and powder-coated cost just £80 - not too bad considering how fiddly it is - not like wheels (where they charge £25 a wheel). | |

| Thanks for the kind comments, is this the pic you mean? . . .
Next time I take the Saab down to Hythe - I'll reunite the canoe with the car - for a photo. I guess in the meantime I'll have to keep my eyes open for a longboard!

| Looks ace, finish looks really bright as well, have never seen any of the finishes which are meant to be like chrome ever look decent, would like to see it in the flesh, better keep your goat boarding as a shameful secret once you get your longboard | |

| The thing sticking out of your roof, generally despised by surfers the world over | |

| Ah, phew, I had no idea - I've never heard that term before and I've done a fair bit of surfing. I guess we're OK in Hythe though - absolutely no surf, worse luck. You have to go West to get any decent surf.
There are loads of kite surfers though, but the weather they like has us safely indoors!
You're more than welcome to pop round anytime you're in London. It's thanks to you that my screen stopped leaking!
Cheers,

| That roof rack really looks great, almost as new. I just love those genuine accessories, and it’s practical too.
Was this the car I saw in Holland this summer? Very low with alloy wheels, and whitewall tires (as far as I remember)?
There is a guy here I Denmark which bought a 95 from UK a couple of years ago, and now uses it as a daily driver, and he took this pic. of it:

So it’s certainly possible to put a canoe on top

| Welcome to the forum!
Great picture from your friend...
What is it with colour-coded canoes and 95 owners!?!
Yes, that was my car at the Holland meet - it was great weekend, trying to work out if she'll make it all the way to Switzerland this year! | |
