Cheers folks for all you kind words and encouragement. I won't be making a start on this until the end of next year, maybe even 2015 as I have work to finish on the house that I promised to do before touching any of my Saabs. Then, after the house is done, I have recently bought my all time favourite 99, a Silver 1974 2dr EMS and that will be the first one I intend to do. No doubt I will fiddle with the 96 from time to time, but I won't start in earnest until the EMS is pretty much finished.
When I do make a start, I will keep a diary on here and try to be good, updating it regularly.

Will

Watched Rush the other night and spotted a 96 in the background - don't think it's quite 'period-correct' (looks early 80's to me), but a 96 is a rare sight in modern films...

I spotted that in Rush (brilliant film). I mentioned it on UKSaabs..no one else spotted it, it's a fleeting shot so top marks for observation.
The rear lights give it away as a late car..they have the pointed top corners rather than the "tomb stone" shape.
Did you watch it at the cinema? The film is out on dvd/blueray later this month.

Looks like this other green 95 is based in Crawley. Contacted the owner via FB, but haven't heard back from them...

Well, my '71 95 has been sitting over in my friend's workshop for too long, so it's time to trailer it home and crack on with it. It's #2 in line behind the stroker (being tidied up for the summer) and will be worked-on in parallel with my Saabo (caravan). Watch this space.

David (in age order: me, 96 2T, 260-2 Saabo, 95 V4 and a c900S Aero Vert, plus a new-ish 9-3 Aero TTiD 180 SW)

By the look of it might still be there, even if the snow ramparts have now gone.

This 95 drove up and parked on the other side of the road in Haddington, East Lothian on Friday 21st. Looked perfectly at home! I don't have my Souvenir any more, but I still keep my eyes peeled.

Don't know how you managed to restrain yourself from accosting the owner – I'd have been straight over - embarrasing myself!

Another swedish sample, waking up from hibernation, I saw it this winter under a cover. There's another one on the other side of the house in similar conditions, but still sleeping
