Have just picked up a 7.6 cam to use in my currently being rebuilt road car. Engine is a standard 1500 with steel timing gear, 28/36 DCD and a Jetex exhaust.

What springs are best to use: standard Ford V6 Cologne or HD?

Am I wasting my time changing the cam if I do not port the heads?

Thanks

Hi!
I use v6 valve springs with a 7.6 cam and bigger (v6) valves, works great for me.
If you want to use the camshafts full potential you should do some porting of the heads. They are quite restrictive "undone".

Thanks for that Kirster, standard v6 springs are cheaper than the Heavy Duty ones from Burton , will get them ordered. http://www.burtonpower.com/catalogsearch/result/index/?appl_engine=8&engine_manuf=697&product_area=745&product_group=352&q=valve
