The carb is again out. For any reason when the pump died, an stuff like thick cream came into the carb and clogged it.
Now I'm trying to clean with spray carb cleaner but I cannot unclogg the acceleration device, and I cannot remove the curved tube.

What kind of liquid do you use for cleaning the interior of the carb?

I use an ultrasonic cleaner, I think that's the only way of giving a carb's internals a proper clean. The accelerator jet can be very hard to remove indeed, remember the only thing that holds it in place is a sticking o-ring. Perseverance will pay off!

Hi Alec I have one with manual choke conversion together with 2 metal air cleaners, the correct SAAB air cleaner and a taller one from the Taunus, If you are interested.
I have gone the Weber route

I have plenty if you need more. ;) Including manifolds, air cleaners, intermediate plates. But to be honest I would also go the Weber route when upgrading to 2bbl.

Finally, I could clean the carb removing the jet and using carb cleaner and white spirit.

TIme also for the rear lamps. Thick and non transparent yellow paint has been removed with white spirit and painted with transparent paint, that one for the glasses and bulbs.

The Rear wings have a lot of rust, specially left one with holes. I sand them to the metal, apply rust converter on light rust, zinc on clean metal and a coat of primer before painting with spray paint. The holes have been covered with fiber and the inner side has been painted also with that thick antinoise paint. I don't like it and I'm not going to use it anymore because it seems it never dries completely and shrink when there's high temperatures.
