| Does anyone have a photo of a successful linkage set up for a 32/36 DGV? |

| Not familiar with this carb, other than seeing photos. I assume you have the four bolt inlet manifold. The linkage shouldnt be too difficult depending on which direction the primary butterly rotates. It appears to rotate anti-clockwise like the 28/36, so you will need a short lever and a short rod with LH and RH threaded ball sockets, plus a pair of ball joints, though these come normally together. You may need a different throttle lever as the one used with the Solex had a sport and rally part no rather than standard. An adjustable connecting rod between the pedal bar and the throttle lever may be required. There is a pic on the forum of the lever I have on my 28/36 which has a crank to it. Sorry my reply isn't deffinitive but start with standard and adjust as necessary. | |

| Quite right, first operation is anticlockwise but my concern is that the carb sits at an angle on the replacement manifold so the lever doesn't work at the same angle to the throttle actuating rod. I'll post a pic later. | Edited by - Andyinthegarage on 18 Nov 2016 17:08:24 | |

| Andy Thinking about it, my 32/36 Twin choke weber just plopped straight on, connected the existing linkages, and Bob's your Uncle....This of course, because the old set up was a twin choke Solex. I've been in Edinburgh the last couple of days. Back now, I'll get the car out today at some point and take a couple of detailed close up photos.

| Here's my linkage, quite easy as I was replacing a Weber 28/36. I did swap the lever over from the 28/36 to the new 32/36:
Also, on the 28/36 I struggled to get sufficient travel to open both barrels fully, so I modded the other end of the torque rod a bit:
This picture was taken before I re-fitted the throttle return spring, which I simply hooked over the ball joint. I stretched the return spring a bit to reduce the tension, as this tends to bend the pedal linkage a bit, further reducing the throw!

| Thanks Guys, it seems you both have the difference in angle of operation coped for by the ball joints. I also see the twists in Pete's operating levers which was one thing I was considering. Basically it does indeed look like a straight swap, borrow the lever from my current 32ich if it'll fit or fabricate something.
Much appreciated, just need to gather a few more bits together... | Edited by - Andyinthegarage on 18 Nov 2016 17:10:37 | |

| Andy Oh, most definitely! It has to be said that the Solex was knackered. Difficult to start when it was hot. Tick over very erratic.
When I fitted the Weber, it was like night and day. Start, first turn of the key, hot or cold. Lovely tick over. Also seemed to pull much better. Total transformation.

| For the Weber 32/36 DGAV on my Sonett I have used the linkage parts of the Solex 32TDID.
