So I yesterday I installed new pads and rotors on the '69 95. I noticed the driver's side out axle boot had split open. Must be very recent because it wasn't split open last month when I looked the car over before inspection.

I'm planning on driving the car in a tour at the end of the month, so I don't really have a lot of time to fix this. Does anybody know of a split boot (made that way) that will fit? I can't even locate a normal boot in the U.S. for the car. Does anybody know what the critical dimensions for the boot are?

Thank you.

I can't comment on the split boot, but I have used Duraboots (from Bailcast) before with good results. Their boots are super-stretchy and you can stretch them over the CV joint with the shaft on the car. I didn't believe it until I tried it, but it worked for me and they have proved durable.
The Saab 96 is no longer listed in their catalogue but the part number was DBC100 which is still listed in their catalogue for other cars.
If you go this route make sure you order the cone to help with fitting.
There's a demo of a similar system here.

I have Bailcast boots on my 96 (CV and steering rack) and they're very good indeed. I can't remember using a cone when fitting them.

I like the look of those in your pic. Shame can't see Toyota model to check specs for. I can get measurements tonight of hub/shaft diameters.

The cv joint side is 80mm. Drive shaft side is 1 inch.

Thanks for the suggestions and measurements! I'll see what I can find now.
