Thanks Woody for pointing out the correct orientation for the anti-roll bar brackets, this explains why I had such a struggle to get the bolts through,it should be much easier with every thing in the right place!
Whilst on a high from all the very encouraging comments about the project (thanks to everyone who commented), I decide to crack on with preparing the bonnet and boot lid for paint. I decided there was enough rust in the boot lid to warrant getting the welder out, as usual I got a bit ambitious with the amps and blew a few holes!
Once the paint was removed from the underside of the bonnet quite a lot of rust was revealed, I am wondering if this could be a result of an engine fire at sometime? A going over with the sand blaster outside on a tarpaulin has cleared this up a lot. Next task is to remove the paint from the top of the bonnet.
