I have this kit left over it was fitted to a V4, you essentially lockout the dissy counter weights to disable mechanical advance and you program in your own advance figures for different rpm. It worked well for me, the downside is that you don't have vacuum advance so not great for city driving.I have the USB cable and CD - £40 or may swap for some Saab 900 goodies
Hi Burt It doesn't measure manifold pressure (engine load) so at lower load you may be burning a bit more fuel than you need as you don't have enough advance.With this unit you program your advance requirement based on engine speed only. This is fine if you drive quite hard a lot of the time, I'm not an expert on this stuff. I know a lot of people who race cars disable vacuum advance, this does the same thing but allows you to set the exact required advance at different RPM points using software so you can adjust it easily.
