I'm getting close to returning the '96 gearbox and engine to the car. I need bushes for the ARB, both those to the suspension and underneath to the floorpan, any ideas here on where to buy them?

Powerflex do polyurethane bushes, for standard bushes try the usual suspects (Malbrad, Skandix etc.).

Cheers, will do. Personally I don't like polyurethane bushes, far too hard for old cars.

I agree about the PU bushes. Quite hard to get decent quality rubber bushes these days; most (all?) are produced by Professional Parts Sweden/ Scantech and absolute rubbish.

The ARB bushes Malbrad sell ain't cheap! I do think that I can modify some I already have though, certainly those that mount the ARB to the floorpan. I've been cleaning up the top wishbones to go back on, despite them being pressed steel they are in remarkably good condition, it really makes you wonder what they make such components out of nowadays, some kind of rust with a bit of steel added!

Try Saabits as the bushes might be similar to those used on Saab 99/900. Also Malbrad.
Have a full set bought in 82 and these are Boge as opposed to Metalastik.

The front lower and upper and the rear lower shock absorber bushes are all identical and the same as the 900 bushes. 900 front shock upper bushes may well be identical to the 96 upper rears. As far as I know all other bushes are different.

Shock absorber bushes are generic, can be found at any parts supplier, even Kwik Fit may have them.

The front A-frame (triangle) bushes are the same as 900.

Skandix has them all

I thought 900 control arm bushes were a different diameter, good to know they're the same.
