Hi
Does anyone have any decent 2nd hand jacking points?

Will be fitting a new sill and would like to prepare it in advance with jacking points on, prior to fitting the new sill.

Apparently you can still get new ones.

Yeah, but Malbrad want £45 each, which with postage, is over £100 for a pair.
Unless you know somewhere cheaper?

A pair of decent 2nd hand ones would be fine.
I could then pre-prepare the sill.

I think someone on the other forum mentioned £36? Have you asked Bill from Saabits? Don't forget he does a 10% UKSaabs discount!

I don't know "Bob from SAABits", though, I'll have a look at their website.

You could go for the 'jacking point delete' option Andy, as I did on my 96 and use a block of wood and bottle or trolley jack.
Those pesky jacking points only encourage rust...

Greg

They do, and I have considered it, but was advised against it.
If I can't find a couple at reasonable cost, (ie not £100 a pair), this is probably the way I will go.

Matt.
Thanks mate, but the postage is 36 euros, so 107 Euros.....still comes to £100.
I'll keep looking for a couple of 2nd hand ones, and if I can't find any at reasonable price, I'll delete them!

You can always fit them later if not having any proves to be inconvenient.

Yeah, maybe, I'd like to avoid post welding jacking points, if possible.
I'm sure one can manage without them.
Not original of course, but I'm not a great follower of having to be "original".

If I would delete them and use a bottle jack, I'd use 2mm sheet for the sills instead of 1.5.
