My engine is currently being rebuilt (1760cc) and the builder has just phoned to ask what colour to paint it; it is a 1975 car used ror endurance rallies. I would like it to be authentic 'ish.
I always think a light bright colour is a good bet on a competition car, then any leaks can easily be seen! Went with a silver block on the v4 rally car and I think it looks pretty good ( but I'm sure it will upset the purists).
I agree with you Gavin I always paint my blocks light grey. Heads black. Sump black. Front cover wire brushed and not painted but could be lacquered I suppose. Iain
