Cheers John, as you can probably tell - there's no great rush - it'll be a while before they're needed!

Another one for you Simon? http://www.blocket.se/vasterbotten/Saab_V4_Pickup_veteranbil_57138451.htm?ca=7&w=3

It is RHD and the wheels alone are worth the money, so no excuse!

It's in better condition than mine too. Would like to see some more pics of it.

Cool pick up!

A quick google currency conversion tells me this would cost 1273.81. I would love a set of Cromodoras - are they really that expensive?

Maybe I'll have to go to Sweden and buy the pick up just for the wheels...

Cheers

I had a set on my 95, sold them for 350, not a lot but more than I paid for them. Spotted them in an advert, still attached to a 95 - advertised for parts in the States!

I think you can get one-off alloys for 1k a set - and that's to your own specs, so you could get a larger diameter and wider etc.

I still think the two-stroke steelies look the best on a Saab though.

I wish I had bought yours when I had the chance - was a bit skint back then though as just set up a new business and was selling the Blue 96 to make space and free up some funds.
Not heard of ordering one off alloys before other than billet but would prefer old and original - and 1k is way over budget in my world!

Had a play with the 2-stroke rear lights - looks like they fit...

On my way to Graham MacDonalds, driving in the rain on a country road, followed by other cars - my drivers side wiper decided to depart company from the car!

No place to stop, I had to drive on, peering through the passenger side and keeping an eye on the car's rear lights in front!

Turns out the spindle had snapped off... this is it alongside the replacement...

Thought it would be easier to remove the spindle without taking out the dash - removed the seat, lay on the floor (seat rails are quite uncomfy!) and undid the spindle - had to remove one of the clocks for clearance though. Put in the new one and checked everything worked.

The motor looked pretty rough though...

So took it out and gave everything a clean...

Need one of these though - as the other is still attached to the old wiper arm, somewhere near Worcester...

So if anyone has a spare, please let me know.

Cheers,
Simon
