Melle and Chris. I have folders full of service information sheets...in no order yet..I also have a few very early folders as well (pre blue/grey with a "hessien print" cover. beyond the official service info sheets I also have "dealer info" sheets..these were for the bosses only and not for staff to see.
We have just hit our busy period so I won't get a chance to scan them yet but I will try to organise it all this winter.

Would be great if that goldmine could be made accesible to the humble V4 fan!

Most modern printer/photocopiers have a scan feature these days and can either email a number of scanned pages or save them to a USB stick.

Protaprint/Kall Kwik would probably do it for you, but they would obviously charge for it as it's very time consuming.

Finally won a NOS bonnet release cable within my budget, still mad money at £54.99 but cheaper then the previous one which went for £75 and the one prior to that at £65. I could have fitted a generic one I should think from kit car suppliers but it,s nice to have original stuff for my ole girl!

On another note, Dinitrol are selling clear underbody wax, I am going to buy a can and see how clear/opaque it is. Might be an option if you can keep an eye on what is going on underneath!

If you're a tight arse like me a Sturmey Archer rear drum brake cable does the job perfectly and the original bonnet release T-handle fits the thread:

I'd think a choke cable would work as well?

I was bidding for that bonnet release cable as well.....I bailed out at around £30 I think. My one still works, but it's a bit short.....

Thanks for the Sturmy Archer tip Melle.
I'm going to the NEC Classic show next month, I'm sure I'll pick something up there.

Sensible price Andy, similar to other bonnet cables you can google. No idea why NOS SAAB 96 bonnet cables go for so much dosh consistently on E Bay when other things will do. It was my 50th birthday present to myself, been after one since I got the car so went the extra reluctantly.

Just need a very good no rust genuine SAAB front wing, petrol filler pipe, balance shaft, timing gears, clutch, engine hose set and a few other odds and sods. A quick respray of wings, engine bay, front panel and hope to be back on the road for next summer An entire strip down and respray will have to wait for another time...

thanks for the petrol cap Andy, it arrived yesterday. Melle careful going down hill on yer bike mate Good idea though...

I managed to get a generic cable in my local motor factors for £8, but then I'm cautious with the old money.

Back to work on the 96, going to try and do a bit every evening... Still can,t face covering up all the original grey paint with Dinitrol but will paint on carefully ACF-50 down the seams etc for now. I was going to replace the springs but having just got the wire wool out they look in pretty good nick with the original black paint still on and I am not fussed about handling so they will do for now.

Question. Is the cone bit in the middle of the spring metal, tricky getting the original underseal off that. It all looks in good nick and I can,t take the springs off so hopefully a good dowsing in ACF-50 will soak in and preserve it, have already done it from inside the wing. The cup looks in good shape so far, a job for the not so distant future I suppose just in case!

My Border Collie now 4months and in the way as usual...
