| Does anyone know what the thread on the radiator drain plug is? Metric or Imperial, Size?

There must of been different types of radiators on the 96 then.
The OD of the thread on the slightly knackered plug, currently fitted, is around 15.7 mm, and it looks straight, with an O ring seal. This is considerably more than the OD of 1/4" NPT, which is around 12 mm.(0.49"). Also, NPT is tapered, which the thread on my plug is not.
I thought maybe M16 metric, but then I am aware that the bolt system on the 96 is basically imperial, except the engine, which is metric. Radiator? Don't know.

| I wouldn't be surprised if Saab used different types throughout MYs. Have you checked the parts book yet?
