Urgent request for water pump.
Currently just returned from day 2 of London to Lisbon Rally with a broken water pump - we got as far as St Malo- and would like to try and rejoin the rally. Does anyone have a new or known water pump (car is 1975) within a couple of hours of me (GU30 7JN) that I can buy/borrow and collect tomorrow morning and hopefully catch up in the Pyrenees?? I have a water pump, but I'm afraid I'm nowhere near Hampshire.
I would have loved to help you out.
Have you posted on the UKSAABS site forum as well?

I'm in Fife.
Good luck my friend!

Huge thanks to Steve at Malbrad forgoing his Sunday morning lie in to go to work at 7.45 so that a courier could pick up a water pump and get it down to me in Hampshire so that we can get back on the St Malo ferry to rejoin the rally in Dax.

It would be interesting to see how the water pump failed. Yes, they can expire due to age and rust but I thought they were pretty reliable. Corrosion of the backplate will reduce their efficiency though.
Good luck with the rest of the rally, I hope it goes well.
