| I'm short of a couple of items to complete the 'shopping list' for my engine rebuild.
Does anyone either have the following 'going spare' or can recommend a likely supplier (I've tried the obvious)?:
- Piston Rings - set +1mm oversize, and
- Big End Shells - set Standard size

| Who are the obvious? Have you tried FW Thornton, Burton, Skandix and Motomobil?

Hadn't tried Motormobil - they look promising ! Have both big ends and piston rings listed.
Tried the others (apart from Skandix, the websites don't show what needed); Skandix show Big Ends and Piston Rings (per piston, with only 4 in stock). Will have a ring around on Monday.
Also tried SSK, ClassicSaabParts NL, Peja Veteranshop, Malbrad ...

| Surprised Thornton and Burton can't help, the parts you're after are the same as for the Cologne V6 and normally easy enough to come by.

| Since speaking to Steve at Malbrad, he's ordered the parts for me !
Thornton and Burtons only seem to have the rings for the larger 93.5mm pistons or the earlier 2,3,5 type.
Hopefully now sorted !
