Didn't have the SS&R originals, as I had already bought some in 1971. I used to use the leather type with knuckle holes rather than crochet type. Didn't come from Saab, bought at local motor shop. They were brown and used them for years. Have a similar set in black in the Troll which I bought years ago from Debenhams. At that time Les Leston used to market them as well as Brown and Geeson.
They might have been made by Dent's. They still do them and are expensive. Plenty of cheaper copies on Amazon. Also look at golf driving gloves. Sold as singles but you can get matching right and left gloves. Back in the day I had a pair of Graham Hill driving gloves sold by the Paddy Hopkirk brand. Made from kangaroo skin, very thin, fitted like a second skin. Black and red. See here. Note price quoted in the description!!! https://motorsportmemorabilia.com/product/graham-hill-gloves-goggles/
