| Today's plans changed so I found myself free to collect the car I have mentioned else where..it's here..it's in a bad way and it has to be saved. I will put it in dry storage until I find time to get stuck into it..I will have to remove the wheels..fit better rolling rubber and remove the pads/shoes tomorrow and that should give me an idea of what is really needed.

Obligatory mouse nest..

| Turns out this is the oldest V4 95 known in the UK and may be one of the very 1st V4's to be made...if nothing else it may well be the oldest RHD model. The other 95 was collected today and although the engine is missing and it's battered it's a very solid car behind tiered bolt on bits..very worth saving. I have enough on my plate so if anyone is looking for a project drop me a line.

| Hit a big problem today..I have a bunch of keys for the car and nothing fits..the "key in the ignition" to get out of reverse had been disabled so when I collected the car it wasn't an issue. I was ready to turn the engine over but that's not going to happen at the moment but I did hook a battery up and everything seems to work.

| You could swap over the ignition barrel for a spare, but getting an ignition barrel out of the column is a s*d of a job!

| HI John, you could change the switch and put it in the dash,
It would look neat and tidy and wouldnt look out of place on that dash, thats if you do get round to rebuilding this one. .

| Out of interest, the rear seat squab (boot seat)from this 95 may well be in the yellow '73 95 that's gone elsewhere. (SOC Forum Projects) Might be a good idea to try and retrieve it? | |

| Hi John, I have a 1967 v4 95....silver engine, chassis number 46137 (last silver engine 95), RHD too....ref feb 67 in the UK. Nice to see a similar age car too. How much earlier is yours? I'm looking for original engine bay pictures as this one has had some bad repairs in the past and I wan to return it to to orginal as far as I can. | Thats earlier than mine then, yours is 2000 cars earlier than my car. Did it leave the factory as a V4 or was it a stroker conversion? Any pics of the car?

| It was bought new by my father as V4 from Haymills in 1967 (he traded in a bullnose 95 for it), so we have always believed it to be an original v4...its certainly listed as the "to" number for the silver (open deck) 95 V4's. That said it does have the HT lead hold in the bulkhead and originally it had the crossmember welded to the inner wings, not the turrets. I've not been told the tell tale signs of a conversion...if someone can let me know I'll go and look. Its in a lock up about 10 minutes from here. Its a long way from roadworthy as I took it apart 30+ years ago and is has sat since with only occasional burst of work. Hopefully it will get to the front of the queue at one of Saab the restorers soon.

| Hello everyone, I'm the person who was lucky enough to recover the amber good 73 car that was with this and the other two tone car at the barn in Yeovil.
I bumped into Keith Squire of the SOC two weeks ago at the Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb and told him the story of the barn finds. I asked him if he knew of any other 67 or older 95 V4's and he said he knew of one, I can't remember who he said owned it, could it be you Mettersl or do we have 3 three early cars?
BTW the red car looks very
