| Hi guys, sorry "John-saab" I probably didn't mentioned that befor rotating it the body skeletron was deprived of all components (motor as well) just bare metal sheet. So I continue with cutting, but the ugliest work wos to get rid of the tar based rust protection. I tryed different recommended methods, but the most effitient was, flame (gas o petrol gadget) spattle, haevy gloves and a mask on face. After that hours of cleening the rests and old mud with high speed angle grinder - steel disc brush. Coal mine was nothing to my garage there.
OK let's go to cutting again:

rear left inner fender ( see the upper spring support, was very easy to cut, there was nothing)

left rear axle and bracket area partly welded

front left suspension area with support post partialy cut

front inner fender pertialy welded

left suspension post in "air"

the same, inside view

the right one already "healed" (bottom foot plate 3 mm thick)

driver's floor (lucky not lost my feet befor)

the same but nice view from bottom

seen from passenger plase ( note the front panel to window frame)

rear axel tunel partly welded

three panels joint (motor floor, passenger floor and division vertical panel)

division panel from motor area

the same, left side

optimism is rising, luggage area comming in real form

back part of luggage area

right inner fender finished

detail view of it

front part nearly terminated

finaly mooved higher to window frames
It seems it has no end, but it is a long story . I work on it already 3 years only saturdays partly sundays, evenings and during my hollidays. In 2010 I had a brake for 5 months, I cut also my hand, nearly lost left hand thumb, but the doctors have succesfuly saved it. The nerves dont work, but this was not the case to stop me completely. So you will see tomorrow the body completed, and works on motor, gearbox etc. |

| Amazing car. It's difficult to understand that shiny exterior and "titanic" underbody are the same car. Please go on, it's a very interesting project and please, take care of your fingers, we like happy ending projects. | |

| Wow! That's some serious tin-bashing going on there! I would never dream of taking on anything like that! I'm fairly handy with spanners, but welding and paint are out of my league! Respect!

meanwhile other parts had to be overhauled as driveshafts,

steering gear ready

drive shafts and universal joints - ready, protected and waiting for their turn

frot brakes overhauled, calipers (TIG welded), new pistons, seals, master cylinder and rear brakes overhauled, new wheel cylinders and comlete new piping with new unions, and the system filled with new silicon brake fluid.

| Hi guys, thanks for encouraging comments. My problem is that for each detail even simple looking I have to dedicate a lot of time.

for ex. rear side windows frames, today I started to create the new ones from stailness steel

it's work for watch maker
Ok, but let's see my motor: works donne on it - new Goetze self adjusting piston rings (bought 26 years ago); all bearings and sealings, clutch with new linings and new release bearing, two exhaust valves were a little burned but few tuns on lathe brougt them in order so the compression is OK now.

ones assembled and cleaned, primer was applyed

side view

heads tightening

assembling the covers

as i decided to change the Fomoco carb. which (at least mine) was a disaster. Motor lazy, in winter starting problems, every month had to open and adjust it. I won on ebay offitialy overhauled double chamber Holley all mecanical, water heated choke for 60$ !! from US and later a Sonet head for 30 $ !! What a purchase!? Here cleaned and ready to put it on top

everything on to check if something not forget

once complete with gearbox ready for transport to the car

meanwhile the small averhauled stuff was mounted in

and finaly the baby is in (the radiator has a new core)

and than I worked also nights on basi wireing, and piping modifications due to new carb just to here the motor running. Tank in piping Ok, few liters of petrol, than few turns without plugs until carb filled and than real start. What a sound and what a difference to Fomoco carb. A real wild horse was born!

I placed the oil cooler in the front with aditional support
